“With a passion for Skateboarding, Trevor Alguire opened On Deck Skateboard Shop in Ottawa, Canada when he was 18-Years-Old. To be in business for 30 Years, in any business, is quite an accomplishment. To have a Skate Shop for 30 Years is almost unheard of. In an industry that is always changing, Trevor’s Values have never changed. His focus has always been passing on his love for skateboarding, and nurturing the skate scene in his community.

Welcoming and encouraging customers, new and old, Trevor has made a significant difference in countless lives through the years just by being there, by having the door open. On Deck began with the philosophy that skateboarding, in its purest form, is about self-expression and the challenge of bettering one’s self through daily progression.

After many years when you visit On Deck, it is still easy to see how the business was built on a strong foundation of passion and love of the art form. We enjoy all that skateboarding has to offer on a daily basis and we like to see the enthusiasm skateboarding brings to individuals and families alike.

Popularity fluctuates, trends and people change, but at On Deck we believe that skateboarding will remain.

The Shop

At On Deck we always maintain a huge selection of unique product you won’t find at other so called ‘skate shops’. Whether you’re looking for shoes, clothes, hats, outerwear or of course skateboards, you will find it in our shop!

The Ramp

We take pride in the fact that we’re home to the only indoor facility in Ottawa designed specifically for skateboarding that has stood the test of time. Come skate our mini-ramp. Helmets are required! For those under 18 years of age, a parent / guardian must be present the first time you skate here!

The Team

Over the past 30 years, On Deck has continually supported local skateboarders. That is why we here at On Deck are very proud of our Skate Team; some of the best skaters in Eastern Ontario.
